For years now, puteus GmbH has been offering pupils the opportunity to get to know the "working world" through an internship in our company or to complete an apprenticeship with us after leaving school.
The young people gain their first insights into different professions through various internships and thus get an opportunity to orientate themselves with regard to their own career aspirations and future prospects.
As part of the NRW state initiative "No graduation without connection - transition from school to work, skilled workers for tomorrow in NRW", we have for some time now been offering pupils in Year 8 the opportunity to get a taste of all areas of training in a one-day work placement to find out more about the various professions and the associated activities. But also in internships lasting several weeks for pupils, they can actively participate in the work in the day-to-day business and get to know job profiles and perspectives in more detail in exchange with trainers and employees, in order to receive suggestions and information for the decision for the transition from school to an in-company training or to a course of studies.
In all training departments, we offer our interns and trainees their own workplaces equipped with modern IT systems so that they can actively participate from the very beginning. Depending on the work to be done, our (day) trainees in the commercial area are allowed to carry out a lot of "real" work themselves under supervision: from the preparatory receipt of goods and incoming goods bookings, order entry, delivery note and invoice preparation to costing and writing quotations. Supplementary guided tours through our warehouse and explanations as well as their own practical exercises additionally teach the students the connections between the commercial areas, quality assurance and warehousing. In the end, the students can take away an overall impression of all logistical and commercial processes in a wholesale company.
Of course, we are also investing in our own future with this offer. Because we also need employees who have the appropriate expertise and can identify with us and our goals. Many of our former trainees have started or already completed an apprenticeship with us after finishing school and are still an important part of our team today.
At the same time, we have already invested in our own future.
We have already received the IHK award as "Best Training Company" several times.
We offer internships and apprenticeships in the following professions:
- Merchants for office management
- clerks for wholesale and foreign trade management
- Warehouse specialists (m/f/d)
- Specialists for warehouse logistics (m/f/d)
An apprenticeship in one of the above professions in our medium-sized, future-oriented company offers young people a good start to their careers. Practical work, in-house training and the accompanying vocational school provide the necessary tools and industry-specific expertise.
